Before you submit
The rules that apply when you upload a manuscript, request production, and pay for an Accessible Audio service.

These terms form an agreement between you and Accessible Audio ("we", "us", or "our"). By selecting the agreement checkbox and submitting a manuscript, you confirm that you have read and accepted this version of the terms.
Accessible Audio converts audiobook-ready plain-text manuscripts into AI-narrated audio. Your selected voice and estimated price shown on the submission page form part of your request. Completed audiobooks are delivered as chapter-ready MP3 files; no alternate output format is offered during submission. A submission is a request for production; work begins only after any required payment and acceptance of the manuscript.
You retain ownership of your manuscript. You confirm that you own the work or have all permissions needed to upload it and create an audiobook. You grant us a limited permission to store, process, reproduce, and convert the manuscript only as reasonably necessary to provide the service. You remain responsible for claims arising from material you did not have the right to submit.
Do not upload illegal material or content that infringes another person's rights. We may refuse or stop work on content that is unlawful, excessively explicit, abusive, technically unsafe, or otherwise unsuitable for production. If you are uncertain, contact us before uploading or paying.
Upload a final, audiobook-ready .txt file. Everything in the text file may be read aloud. You are responsible for spelling, punctuation, names, chapter order, and the final reading copy. A revised manuscript is treated as a new upload and may require a new production request and payment.
AI narration can mispronounce words, interpret punctuation unexpectedly, or choose pacing and emotion differently from what you intended. Voice samples are illustrative and do not guarantee that every sentence will sound identical. We will use reasonable care, but the service is not a substitute for a human performance or professional editorial review.
The submission page calculates an estimate from the detected word count, selected voice, and options. The amount shown at checkout is the amount submitted to PayFast. Payment processing is provided by PayFast under its own terms. We do not receive or store your complete card or banking credentials.
Contact us promptly if you need to cancel. Any refund or cancellation outcome depends on the work already completed, costs already incurred, the reason for cancellation, and rights that apply under South African law. A rejected submission is not automatically refundable where these terms were breached or production costs have already been incurred. Nothing in these terms excludes a consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded.
You retain ownership of your book. Once the agreed production has been paid for, you also retain ownership of the generated audiobook, subject to any separate rights in third-party tools or materials. Accessible Audio does not claim ownership of your manuscript or finished audio.
You are responsible for access to your Google account and for activity performed through your submission account. Notify us promptly if you believe your account or a submission has been accessed without permission. Do not attempt to disrupt, overload, probe, or bypass the security of the service.
We process account details, submission records, manuscripts, and production files to provide and administer the service, communicate with you, protect the service, and meet legal obligations. We limit access to authorised purposes and take reasonable safeguards. You may request deletion of a submitted book; the manuscript and generated audio will be removed within 30 days, subject to records we must retain by law or for legitimate dispute, security, or payment purposes.
Production times are estimates unless we agree otherwise in writing. Completed chapter-ready MP3 files are made available through your submission account. Availability can be affected by maintenance, hosting, payment providers, AI services, connectivity, or events outside our reasonable control. We will use reasonable efforts to communicate material delays and restore service.
To the extent permitted by law, Accessible Audio is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or loss caused by inaccurate source material, unauthorised content, third-party services, or use of the output outside its intended purpose. Our responsibility is not limited where the law does not allow a limitation, including liability that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer law.
We may update these terms for future submissions. The version you accept is recorded with your submission. These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa. Please contact us first so we can try to resolve any question or dispute in good faith.
