A clear guide to preparing a manuscript, understanding AI narration, and managing your submission.
Manuscript submissions
Submit your manuscript as a plain-text .txt file. Text files give the audiobook system the cleanest possible reading copy. Files such as Microsoft Word .docx documents or Markdown .md files can contain formatting marks, headings, links, and other code that may be read aloud as part of the narration. Export or save the final manuscript as plain text before uploading it.
Your completed audiobook is delivered as chapter-ready MP3 files. MP3 is the standard delivery format, so there is no separate output-format choice during submission.
Books in any genre are generally welcome, provided you own the work or have permission to create the audiobook. Do not upload material that is illegal. Accessible Audio may also refuse content that is excessively explicit or otherwise unsuitable for production. A rejected submission is not automatically eligible for a refund, especially when these rules were breached or production work and costs have already begun. If you are unsure about a manuscript, please ask before uploading and paying.
No additional reading instructions are required. The AI uses the manuscript itself to determine pacing, dialogue, and phrasing. It is still AI, however, and it may not always choose the exact tone you intended. That is a normal limitation of the technology.
You retain ownership of your book. Once payment has been made, you also retain ownership of the generated audiobook. Accessible Audio does not take ownership of your manuscript or finished audio.
Please make sure the book is ready for conversion before you submit it. A revised manuscript is handled as a new upload and a new production request, with a new payment. This keeps the source text and generated audio aligned.
Yes. You can request deletion of your submitted book at any time. We remove the manuscript and any generated audio within 30 days of the deletion request.
